SCATEH is a local movement to prevent and end homelessness in Simcoe County.
We do this through coordinated strategies, advocacy, and awareness.
In Simcoe County, there is an affordable housing crisis. The issue is too complex for any one of us to solve alone and we believe together, we can find a solution. We want to work with you - Community Stakeholders, Developers, and Elected Officials - towards ending homelessness.
As a County-wide coalition, SCATEH is uniquely positioned to lead collective impact. SCATEH is committed to partnering with the community towards the development of a coordinated system of care to end homelessness. |
Housing FirstHousing First is an approach that offers permanent, affordable housing as quickly as possible for those experiencing homelessness, and then provides the supports and services people need to keep their housing and avoid returning to homelessness. Learn more.
Advocacy & AwarenessSCATEH advocates at all three levels of government, participating in calls for input, writing letters about policy concerns, and educating politicians and government staff about the issues faced in the homelessness sector.
